I hope this finds you well! I’m reaching out with a bit of urgency and deep gratitude. After years of pushing my gear to its limits—photographing elders, documenting movements, building Pan-African visual archives—both my camera and computer are now at their edge.

As I plan to expand my cultural work and photography practice, I need to be able to do it with the quality and speed it demands.  I need to upgrade my equipment. After a good bit of research, I've settled on moving towards a Fuji X-H2 camera and a new MacBook Pro. My goal is to raise $6,000 to acquire these tools as soon as possible.

I don't even like writing these kinds of messages. Folks always trynna sell someone on something. But as the age old wisdom says... Closed mouths don't get fed. I'm asking for your help.

This isn’t about gadgets.  It’s about growing the reach of my work and enhancing the clarity of stories that I think matter—Black elders, community organizing, supporting organizational efforts, and documenting the everyday life and resistance I witness (and participate in!). From Chicago to Accra to Havana to wherever the people are, I'm trying to be there, to document us in ways that only I can :).
