AYA's signature, immersive retreat is happening this June in Atlanta!
Also known as "Healing Oppression's Wounds", this three-day intensive is for Black (African) people who are building or wanting to build with and for our people. Regardless of profession or training, we re-commit ourselves, through practical skill-building, to our healing and strengthening.
Led by Wekesa and Afiya Madzimoyo, together we will learn and practice tools that better equip us to:
• Recognize and understand the wounds of oppression in ourselves, our relationships, our family lineages, and communities.
• Heal & strengthen intimate & family relationships
• Read our emotions clearly; authentically emote, share, connect and build trust.
• Use conflict as a portal to building trust.
• Manage our "River of Touches" - the recognition that we give, receive, that we're triggered by, and more.
• Challenge oppression in more effective ways.
Join us! Bring a family member, spouse, or friend. Become renewed & more skilled at challenging oppression and healing its injected and subtle manifestations in ourselves, our families and in our people.
